Heidi has been in VA for about 3 weeks now.... yakes.. time flies!!
Heidi is back in the little house....a different bedroom...
Heidi is riding her horses...
Heidi is back to doing the barn chores with joy...
Gemini remembers windchase...coming off the trailer with Heidi leading him thru the barn to his assigned stall...he turned at his old stall... and surprised himself! The door was closed and there was a horse already in it...How strange....! He continued to walk up the aisle and into his "new" stall.. He was still a happy boy... he found food there!!
Leo sensed from Gemini that this long journey had come to its end!... He was happy to follow Gem who will always be his buddy....

I busied myself with helping Heidi settle in to her new room..... and then driving Big Blue to Fredericksburg for the interview on Monday...

My sister, Wendy was moving to Leesburg... which is the closest "big" town from Purcellville where Heidi lives again.... I had thought.. after hearing thru Heidi that her trainer had said "what's keeping your Mom in Colorado?" I got to thinking... I could transfer to an HCA hospital nearby...I could have lunch dates/craft days every week, every month with my sister... instead of making long trips with 2-3 years inbetween! i could cheer Heidi on when she competed in her horse shows....

so.. Down to the temporary offices of SRMC...no.. not Sky Ridge of Lone Tree,Colorado.. Spotsylvania Medical Center of .. you guessed it.. Spotsylvania, Virginia...an hour and a half from Purcellville! A brand new hospital....opening this June... it would fit in with my plans...... was it meant to be??

Would I fit in with the Womens and infants services there?... Waiting is what I am doing now..... while I pack the house.....and in this economy.. go for a short sale....property has DROPPED in value... so has my house....

What is filling my time ?

As TV is an issue at the little house...Heidi came back home practising what she had had to do for 19 months... watching whatever cute series had been aired on regular TV and is now out on DVD...so... she found The Gilmore Girls.... the story line being about a mother and daughter... which could be similar to Heidi and myself?? not quite..but it isn't dissimilar either....

Reflections of last year.....or I forgot to post!!!

Reception of those digital signals in Purcellville is anything but good...so,on those days or evenings when it is NECESSARY to escape the BUBBLE and to satisfy Generation y's appetite for their often delayed dose of the "internet", Heidi talked of an internet Cafe called 'Market Street'.I was delighted to visit myself and personally partake of those waves of technology!

Heidi sampling those succulent Waves!

Heidi insisted I sample the Chocolate Milk too....It was very yummy!
Enjoy looking at it!

Reflections on Christmases past......

Christmas as a little girl was fun.....and SCARY!!! many Eves' it was so hard to go to bed.... let alone to sleep!!! I was 7 and we were living at Seagull Rd... One christmas morning....I woke up... it was dark.....I was SO excited..I HAD to go see if santa had been....Must have been earlier..or later at night than I thought...I got to the top of the stairs.... Oh my!... the living room light was on.. I saw a shadow move along the wall...I blinked..blinked again.. could it be??? ...a smile lit up my face...I know it did.. My sisters and I had been GOOD... HE .. santa Claus..Father Christmas...HE had so many names HE liked to be called by....was actually in my house.. He had come down the chimney.... I heard movement... Toys were being taken out of his sack and put under our tree...I just knew it... all this acknowledged by my brain in a split second....I scurried back to my bed.. jumped in...and covered my head with the bedclothes...breathing fast ,hoping I couldn't be heard.... I had no problem going to sleep.

Come morning -time... It was so exciting...there were a few presents...Wendy had a whole pile... I was told to go out to the outer room.. here it was cold..not used for anything.but THERE... in the middle were two prams..one a maroon colour, the other navy blue..and sitting inside were dolls...not just any doll..but a TEENY TINY TEARS... I called out ..whooping.. calling my little sister's name.. Come here,Jenny!!!.. Father Christmas left us presents here!!! I waited until Jenny had arrived and we pushed our prams into the warm and fuzzy living room...

I have had a love-affair with the tiny-tears dolls ever since.....

It tells it all.....Our Walmart is open 24 hrs....so.. I was 5th in line for the HP laptop....we had been sectioned off by tape..reminded me of a crime scene....all over walmart....so if you were in line for those most desired items the general riff- raff...because Human nature tends to disintegrate with greed... was directed away! One had to go to the associate who had the list of what you wanted ,she knew how many there were..and the # was crossed off so the people in line was the # of the items to be sold.
We had a great crowd....we took turns in saving places so we could check out the store and gather whatever else we found to be our treasures of the day....A lady about my age was with her Mom who had come up from Arizona...The lady told me her Mom had just lost her Husband 2 weeks ago...while the daughter went to stand in another line...her Mom and I got talking and I remembered my Mom,likening the two ladies..so different but sharing similar tough times .. the passing of their Husbands....I like to believe that we both felt the comforting influence of the Holy Ghost as we talked of our loved ones....A gentleman behind me said he wanted to get a Nintendo DS for his son but he was only one ..I told him to go to the other line and I would get his Laptop for him.... 0500 came and we went up to the associates and the gentleman who had ensured our line was in order... He said he should have the prize for best behaved...and he went the extra mile to get "Mom" a cup of his own coffee...A candy bar for someone else....

I then circled the store, bumping into Marie, Heidi's friend who was working that night and then ending up at the Nintendo line.. there were still some left and no Gentleman...I searched...my eyes fell on the familiar face of the Daughter... She immediately said something of our friend who wanted the computer and there he was! Marie was still with me..you look familiar ,she said..He returne with "I know you!" My wife,Melanie used to work here...and yes Heidi,Marie and Melanie all knew each other!..it is no guess that some meetings and conversations are meant to be!

Shannon had gone to Target ....she stopped by Walmart ..looked and found the riff-raff to be just that..rude and greedy...so she left without having the fun I had had... Hers was found at Target..and is her story!

Heidi was at King Soopers..working. Next year.. with or without money..the fun is to had all over again!!
